These six bone crescents were found at Kenslow Knoll. Thomas Bateman spent several days excavating here in February 1848.
All have the same crescent shape. They have a hole at each end and a polished upper surface. They were found singly or in small groups in different parts of the barrow. None could be linked to any of the burials. We do not know what they were used for. They may have been pendants or beads from a necklace.
